| Originally written for congaro Ray Barretto, this arrangement is a totally unique, latin treatment of Gershwin's classic. The piano plays a written tipico part with two hands in single notes. After solos, a smooth ensemble chorus followed by a montuno, (latin vamp), that can be opened up for an extended drum/percussion solo. It is an authentically latin arrangement suitable for any jazz ensemble. |
